Recent floods have played havoc in the North West areas of Khyber Pakhtoonkwa with deaths in thousands and millions displaced in the affected areas. Responding to this worst ever devastating calamity hitting Pakistan, Disaster Management Center, Abbottabad with the collaboration of Disaster Relief by Irish & Pakistanis (DRIP – www.dripireland.org) and UM Healthcare Trust (www.umtrust.org) is establishing Flood Relief and Medical Camps in Nowshera and Risalpur on from Saturday 7th August 2010 onwards. Teams comprising of doctors, paramedics and volunteers will be conducting these activities on regular basis. |

Ayub Medical College (AMC), Abbottabad has started Flood Relief activities on a large scale with the collaboration of many national and international paertners. So far hundreds of food packs, water bottles, clothes, shoes have been delivered to the flood affected population. Moreover, free medical camps are being organized in Charsada, Nowshera, Swat and Kohistan on a regular basis by the staff & students of AMC. |
