Ration distribution amongst the IDPs residing in Abbottabad PDF Print E-mail

The Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) has migrated to down districts of NWFP from Buner, Swat & Dir Districts due to military operation carried out by the Pakistan Army against the militants.

The Government has setup 17 Camps for the IDPs and they are also registered outside the Camps as Host Families or Off Camp IDPs. Due to the hot and tough weather lots of IDPs has shifted to Abbottabad District, they have left everything behind at least until the war activities in the northern areas decreases or finishes up, which may take along time, in such circumstances they need care, assistance and attention.

On request various resources Disaster Management Center Abbottabad decided to provide them ration that at least will lessen their tensions & worries a little bit but they will need more then just sympathies.

A meeting was held at premises of Disaster Management Center in which IDPs residing in Abbottabad participated; Professor Dr. Abdul Aziz Awan–chairman AMA/DMC and Dr.Noaman Siddiqui were present in the meeting.

The meeting was focused to know their feelings, difficulties and problems.After the meeting in a short ceremony ration that includes in major Flour, Rice, Sugar and in general other grocery items of daily use was distributed amongst the IDPs, the ration was for nine families consisting of thirty-three members .This activity was sponsored and funded by Disaster Relief by Irish and Pakistanis Ireland.  For helping the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) the war affected people of Buner, Swat & Dir Districts Please donate Pay through Bank draft, Send donations via swift code from international destinations or United Bank Limited Main building branch in Abbottabad Pakistan .Our Bank details are as under:
