For helping the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in different areas of Pakistan, the “Prime Minister’s Special Fund for Victims of Terrorism” has been established. Different government departments and organization have been in action since, like Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), in collaboration with cellular mobile industry, has started the 1199 SMS Service for the welfare of these Internally Displaced Persons. Through this service, subscribers of all mobile operators would send an SMS to 1199 by writing FUND. Each SMS would be charged @ Rs. 10/- and the amount thus collected would be deposited in the “Prime Minister’s special Fund for Victims of Terrorism” for Internally Displaced Persons.  

Similarly the Radio Pakistan Abbottabad started a fundraising campaign to motivate people in the region, from all walks of life to come forward and contribute to this national cause.

Disaster Management Center Abbottabad in partnership with DRIP has been working on relief for victims of terrorism, the people of Sawat & Malakand therefore Dr.Noaman Siddiqui participated in the program and handed over a Chequee amounting rupees ten thousand to the Director Radio Pakistan Abbottabad as a contribution to Prime Minister’s special Fund for IDPs.
