The 6th National Thalassemia Conference was held in Lahore, from 17th – 19th December 2009. A team from Abbottonians Medical Association Abbottabad , comprising of Dr.Noaman Siddiqui, Mr. Anwar Masih, Ms. Aysha Murtaza, was awarded a shield for her outstanding achievements.

Ms.Aysha will be completing her law; she is also the Secretary of Thalassemia Patient and Parent society Abbottabad Chapter. Dr.Noaman Siddiqui facilitated the panel discussion for the experts, society & Thalassemia Patients and Parents.

On the evening of 17th December 2009 over three hundred participants from all the provinces of Pakistan went to Minar -e- Pakistan to show solidarity for their homeland and lit candles symbolizing peace for the country and to fight unanimously against terrorism.
